In this episode of God First Podcast, I share my transformative journey of surrendering the mask of perfection I’ve worn most of my life. I reveal how at the end of 2024, I found myself on my knees, questioning if I was truly following God’s path or creating my own limited version of what I thought He wanted. When I finally gave up control and my carefully crafted plans, I discovered something beautiful: God doesn’t ask for our perfection—He asks for our obedience.
I open up about the difference between performance-based faith and having a genuine relationship with Jesus. I talk about how wearing the “mask of perfection” can lead to heaviness and burnout, and how the world constantly tells us to be more and do more to feel enough—when Jesus already says we are enough. I share why our flaws and mistakes don’t disqualify us from our calling, and the freedom that comes when we stop chasing approval from others. True confidence doesn’t come from being perfect—it comes from walking in obedience.
“What does the Lord require of you? To act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.” – Micah 6:8
I invite you to take off your mask today. You are not a performance—you are a vessel. You are not perfect, but you are chosen. Let’s walk this journey together: imperfect but surrendered.
Join me on April 26th in Gold Coast for the Illuminate Live Tour, where I’ll share more about breaking free from the masks we wear and stepping into authentic relationship with God.
